The Old Cinema - Antique, Vintage, Retro

I stumbled across this old fashioned cinema that has now been converted into this beautiful, vintage, antique centre, you'll find anything you need for that retro look in your life. Full of fashion, furniture, old cameras, jewellery, art and little nick-nacks, a combination of all my favourite things, cinema and vintage goods.

It is located in Chiswick-London, which in itself is a beautiful part of the city. It's a slightly quieter area of London, with many restaurants, such as Gourmet Burger Kitchen and Pizza Express as well as independent cafes and shops. Having said that, it is a great place to stay over night and is about 30  minutes from the city centre by bus.
Having an interest in fashion, I loved that there were many unique, vintage pieces. Some were even designer, for instance there is an eclectic display of Christian Dior sunglasses that are still pricey, but are cheaper than a brand new piece of the designers' collection. I further found some purses by Prada and Gucci, I especially wanted that Gucci clutch bag. It said on the label that it was rare and was made in the 1970s. Having said that many of the pieces in the shop had labels explaining a brief description of their history. To compliment the designer pieces, they had some old 1920s photos in art deco frames with nick-nacks scattered on the display shelves.

If you're into photography or film there are some beautiful, what looks like 1920s cameras, as well as a 1920s drinks trolley. I am hoping to purchase one of these trolleys in years to come, because I think it's such as cool, classy interior piece to have in your home.

As I said at the top of the page, you can get a lot of vintage pieces of furniture. From mirrors, to tables and cabinets, to chairs, quirky lampshades, to wall art and more. If you've set yourself up with an interior project, then this is a great place to come and find unique pieces to set your home, cafe, shop etc. apart from the crowd. When I get my own place some day I'm definitely going to come back here. The shop goes really far back as well, so there's so much to see. Additionally, going on their website, I've just realised that there is more than one floor and I can't believe I missed that, now I'm definitely going back😂! On the other floors, it looks like there is an art gallery and showrooms.

Overall, this is a must see when you're in that area of London. They have a website as well if you want to see further of what they have in store: https://www.theoldcinema.co.uk/
