Rocketman Review

Image
Star Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆ A flamboyant, haunting, passionate and humorous musical about the legend that is Elton John. This film captures Elton at his most lowest point, with him starting out at a rehab centre dressed in a red all-in-one with horns and feathers sticking out and lets not forget his signature platforms and funky glasses. Addressing all the problems he has faced in his life at that point including drug and sex addiction, being a alcoholic and shopaholic and coping with bulimia and anger issues, we experience flashbacks throughout his life from when he was a child to his 30s/40s. Taron Egerton was the perfect actor for conveying Elton’s most deepest feelings and mannerisms and using the most powerful tool of all which is his voice. Taron is truly a great singer and ironically auditioned for RADA (drama school) singing an Elton John song. The director Dexter Fletcher, captured each moment in Elton's life beautifully showing the pain he suffered to his thea...

Italy: A Coastal Guide

Image
Rapallo In February, I spent a week with my family in the glorious country of Italy, which is a great time to go as it was sunny most of the time and it wasn't too hot or cold in the daytime. However, do bring some winter clothing, as it can get chilly in the evening. I stayed by the coast in Rapallo, which is next door to two well known places that are Portofino and Genoa. Also nearby is Santa Margherita Ligure and the Cinque Terre. All of these towns and villages are all worth a visit, as they are home to a lot of history, culture, art and of course insanely delicious FOOD! I will be doing a separate post based on all the Italian food later on. I will lastly be talking about my time at Pisa, as I was lucky enough to go to the leaning tower. Rapallo: Rapallo is a very relaxing aesthetic small town by the sea, which is the perfect place to stay whilst you're visiting other nearby destinations. The whole place is fairly cheap,we stayed at the Hotel Riviera which over...

Decorative memo board

Image
I recently bought this gold memo board from IKEA. I really wanted a main decorative piece in my room and this was perfect. I can't take credit for the flowers idea, as I saw it being displayed like this at IKEA, as you can see from the image below. It comes with 12 gold bulldog clips and at the bottom of the board are 4 hooks, so you can hang things, such as keys, ornaments, jewellery etc. One great thing about this board is that you can use it for different themes, for instance I saw a display of a wedding theme that had flowers, pictures and written notes attached to it. Another great thing about this board is that it is so light, so if you live in an old house like I do and are worried about how weak your walls are, don't worry because it most likely will not fall down. Additionally, you only need to hammer in two nails to put it up and that's it, SUPER simple! Lastly, this board only costs £12! London Destination:Camden Market

Image
The other month I went to London to visit Camden Market for the first time and OMG food heaven! This place has everything food, from burgers and Greek food to Yorkshire burritos, Indian cuisine and liquid nitrogen ice cream. If you are vegan or vegetarian not to worry there are plant based food stools there too. For example, there's sushi, falafels, plant based burgers etc. If your a student or someone who is trying to save money, Camden Market is a great place to come to get your hands on free samples. My sister and her boyfriend did this when they were students. Here is the Camden Market website for more information on all the food and drink you can get:  https://www.camdenmarket.com/food-drink   Camden Market is also a great place for shopping to find unique accessorise, trinkets, clothing, artwork etc. You would also be supporting businesses around there.
